Hi, I’m Jess Johnson, founder of Non-Techie HQ.
I’ve always been the person who wanted to figure it out — whether it was taking something apart, building it from scratch, or helping someone troubleshoot their latest tech challenge. Tech isn’t just something I do — it’s how I think.
But what really lights me up?
Helping other people use tech to bring their ideas to life — especially when they don’t see themselves as “tech-savvy.”
Why I Created Non-Techie HQ
From a young age, I loved exploring how things worked. I built websites for fun, streamlined systems for friends, and stayed up late learning platforms just to help someone else bring their idea into the world.
What started as helping friends, family, and fellow creatives with their business setups turned into something much bigger:
a mission to make online entrepreneurship feel doable for everyone — even those who think tech isn’t their thing.
Over the years, I saw too many brilliant people give up on building their business because:
the tech was too confusing
the process was too overwhelming
or they didn’t think they were “qualified” to figure it out
