If you have chosen to have Shopify keep track of your product inventory when adding your products, when you need to update your inventory you will use the inventory section located under Products.
Having Shopify keep track of inventory helps to prevent for overselling the products in your Shop. You can set them to continue selling after out of stock or stop selling until inventory is updated.
